Many different aspects of the writing are essential and your choice of words is certainly one of them. Verbs are an important part of speech and they allow you to positively manipulate how you communicate and, to a great extent, how your ideas are received by other people. Use active verbs as much as possible so that you are clearly communicating that you are in control of the actions that you choose to take.
