The Elements of Creating Perfect Content

As you are thinking about creating new content to share online, you most likely realize that a great deal will go into that content. It doesn’t just appear at the wave of your magic wand without any effort behind it.

The elements of perfect content

There are many different elements that come together to form perfect content. Of course, the content must be written extremely well; however, there are other aspects of content creation that are also important to the success of the content and without which you will not get nearly as far as you would if you had them.

  • Your content must be based on fact: The opinion that you express in your content is not nearly as important as the integrity and truth of your content. The information that you are sharing must have truth as its basis. If you cite statistics in your content, those statistics must be real and you must give attribution to the source of the information. If you don’t follow those rules, you will not appear credible to other people and you will not be doing your professional reputation any good at all. It is critical to keep in mind that not only are you building an online list of people with whom you can interact but you are also building relationships that will hopefully endure over a long period of time (if not indefinitely). People never respect other people who don’t tell the truth. There are no shortcuts. Not only do you have to tell the truth but you also must be able to defend the facts to the point where the other person is satisfied that you know what you are talking about and they can trust you. Only then will you be the first person (and the first business) they turn to when they need what you have.

  • Your content must be written in real-time: Does your content discuss timely matters? Fresh, live content is absolutely the way to go if you want to be a raging success. There is nothing worse than static content when the person on the other end  wants to take part in a live interaction. The concept of timeliness and fresh, live concepts will take you a very long way. People will react positively to what you are offering and the interactions that you share with the other people will be stimulating and compelling.

  • Your content must have an extremely strong visual element: T he fact is that many people will react to the visual element in your content. That doesn’t mean that your words are not important and that they don’t make an important impact. However, the graphic element is also important and will go a long way with many people with whom you interact.

  • Make sure that your online activities are handled efficiently: If you have a small business, it is pretty easy to be efficient and organized. Of course, it goes without saying that you also need to be extremely organized to ensure that everything is run smoothly no matter what the size of your business. However, if you happen to be working with a larger number of people, it may be a bit more challenging to ensure that your process is efficient and tight. Your operation (0r process) must run like a well-oiled machine. Each person must do his or her job extremely well and the result will be amazing.

  • Make full use of curating your content: As you may or may not understand, curating your content means that you find information, arrange that information in a logical manner, and choose to present the most appropriate, most timely, most interesting information to other people who are counting on your doing just that. Content curation is an extremely important part of your process.

It is critical to your professional success that you follow the steps outlined above. It may help you to keep a mental list of what you need to do and, perhaps, in the order that you should follow to make sure that  you accomplish everything that you need to accomplish. You may find it useful to:

  • Appoint a person whom you trust in your organization to own the responsibility of maintaining items in the news that are relevant to what you are doing.
  • Have someone who can check facts and proofread accurately. This is extremely important.
  • Make sure to supply valuable, relevant information to the person who creates your content.
  • Make regular use of graphic images on every piece of content that you post.
  • Ensure that every word and image of your content postings are reviewed by another pair of eyes before any of it is released.
  • Have a reliable list of sites from which to draw content curation.

Conclusion

The purpose of creating and posting perfect content is to attract more top-quality target audience members. If your content is what it should be (or even exceeds your expectations), you will accomplish that easily. If you use the tips that have been suggested here, you will start to see positive results and you will be able to bring your business to the next level. It is important to always keep in mind that your content must not only be perfect in the beginning and the end but it must meet your target audience’s highest expectations every step of the way. If you pay close attention to all of the important elements of your content and focus on making each part the best that it can be, you will be met with positive, successful results.

Thank you for the great pointers, Mrs. Cohn. They will be extremely helpful to me as founder of a small (1-person) web content creation company. Are there any suggestions you have for building up a stable of quality sources for content curation (I write on a number of topics) or for use of graphics when I myself are much more skilled with words than with pictures?

    Again, thanks.

Content portrays the face of your webpage. Being a user I always imagine the service quality and reputation of the organization from the content. Having copied content is strictly no, as different companies have different criteria and service pattern. One more thing, which if the content is well-shared through social media networks, users will be attracted in a high number.
