	Great conversation.&#160; I am currently in the process of launching a venture that is creating propritary content as a primary strategy for building out our community. Due to my background I know how to create original content with the highest quality at the lowest cost - which is key when launching a start-up. Although I agree content curation is a terrific secondary strategy we have decided on our course because we believe &quot;story telling&quot; is a critical component to building new online brands, which is the basis of our business model. The other advantage of original content is that it is an asset that can be repurpused for other platforms be it shorter or long form. Evergreen pieces pay for themselves and become revevue enhancers rather than cost centers. Most importantly today&#039;s consumer is her own curator. We see this is the enormous success of Pinterest. Given the opportunity to input into original content we believe will create a highly engaged community which effects ultimately all revenue streams and the ultimate value of the enterprise.

	Really good overview of curation. I find it&#039;s a really good secondary strategy to unique content-- in a way kind of a teaser for the unique content you creat. Also, typically with curaiton you can publish 5-10 times the amount of content compared to unique content, so all the better in generating content.&#160;
